Egyptian God Ba

The Egyptian human-headed bird, Ba, manifest here in corporeal form represents the powerful personality aspect or expression of the deceased. Like a soul, the Ba is a part of a person that lives after the body dies. He can sometimes be seen in the tomb bringing air and food to the body or flying out of the tomb to join with the 'Ka' (or life-force) in the afterlife.
